Various Powerful Engine Options

The base engine option is a 3.6-liter V6 that provides just over 300 horsepower. The next engine is a V8, which produces more than 385 horsepower. The largest engine option available is a 6.2-liter V8 supercharged engine that will give over 700 horsepower.

For those that want a diesel engine, there is a 3.0-liter diesel option that will give more than 260 horsepower.

These are all matched with an eight-speed automatic transmission.

Total towing capacity is expected to range from 6,200 pounds to 8,200 pounds, which depends on the engine option you select.

Safety Features

RAM 1500 owners will also find there are some great safety features with the new 2022 model year. Some available features included blind-spot monitoring, active lane control, adaptive cruise control, and a rearview camera with a heads-up display. Pricing and Release Date

Similar to prior years, the 2022 RAM 1500 is expected to go on sale by the end of the third quarter. When it is released, it is expected to have a starting MSRP of around $57,000.
